Many of us live mostly “in our heads,” disconnected from our natural feelings and bodily experience. This disconnection can be a protective response to past hurts or early life experiences.
Body-oriented psychotherapy can help you:
Recognize and shift unhelpful patterns
Release mental and physical tensio
Restore the natural flow of energy in body, mind, and emotions
Ground yourself in your body and breath, staying present
Reconnect with your inner source and personal vitality
During our initial meeting, we will get to know each other and discuss the topic or issue you are bringing to therapy. We will plan together how our therapeutic work will proceed, both practically and in terms of timing.
You will also be gently guided into becoming aware of your body, feelings, and current experiences, giving you a first impression of what body-oriented work looks like and what it can offer you.
During therapy, we may work sitting, standing, or lying on a mat.
It’s best to wear loose, comfortable clothing that lets you move freely.
We usually remove shoes in the space so you can feel the floor directly beneath your feet.
The length of therapy depends on the issues you bring to sessions. Typically, therapy involves 10–20 sessions, meeting once every 1–2 weeks.
This pace has proven effective, allowing not only relief from current difficulties but also creating the space for longer-term changes and the solid grounding of a new inner sense of balance.
Yes, online therapy sessions are possible, and body-oriented work can also be adapted to a remote format. Some clients even prefer online sessions via phone or video call, as they feel safer than meeting in person or it helps avoid long travel times.
The price and duration of online sessions are the same as for in-person meetings.
It is also possible to combine formats, meeting both in person and online.
Although online sessions can be a useful and effective alternative when attending in person is not possible, in-person sessions offer a unique, irreplaceable quality that is highly valuable for therapy.
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of my work. I ensure that every client feels safe and respected. Like doctors, psychotherapists are bound by professional secrecy.
I do not keep any records containing personal information, and the content of therapy sessions is never shared with anyone else. The only exception is providing a certificate of therapy at the client’s explicit request.
I regularly discuss my work with clients in professional supervision and peer consultations, always maintaining strict anonymity.
